This morning I discontinued my [Runtastic](https://www.runtastic.com) membership and it reminded me of one of my favorite pet peeves, subscriptions that are hard to discontinue. Subscriptions that make you search to find the cancel subscription button. Subscriptions that make cancelling confusing by adding multiple options. The worse is subscriptions that make you call them to quit. If I did not call you to join I should not have to call you to quit.

I am not naive, I know they do this to make it hard to quit. However a lot of times I am just quitting a product for a short period of time with the intention of rejoining. If the subscription makes it hard for me to quit I am not going to rejoin it and they have lost a future customer.
