The More People Business Model of Anchor

Reading @manton’spost on Anchor got me thinking. Although I do use Anchor.fm to publish my podcast Michael’s Voyage mostly because it is easy to use. However if I had the option today I would use micro.blog’s Wavelength. I have big questions about Anchor’s business model,how will they survive once the venture capital runs out, which it will at some point. Youtube works because they are backed by Google, so it can lose money for a long time. Of course once you give away something for free it is hard to convince someone to pay for it later on. Like @manton said it is costing Anchor more than a $1.00 to host a podcast a month and sooner or later that bill will come due.
