As soon as he was inaugurated, President Trump began his attack on the DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) program. This attack included and still includes the websites of the various federal departments and agencies. At one point, the Army and Navy removed articles about the Navajo code-talkers, Japanese American WWII units, and even one about Jackie Robinson. What made this so funny (in the wow, really, people way) is that none of these people made it where they did because of any DEI program. Fortunately, after an outcry, these articles were restored. The Small Business took down their image showing people of various colors, genders, and nationalities as if it didnβt represent the people of the United States today. These examples are just a tip of the iceberg; the NPR article Here are all the ways people are disappearing from government websites has more examples.
